The New York Post published an article indicating that their sources believe the city is up to 20% behind the forecast parking ticket revenue projections as a result of hurricane Sandy. If the story is accurate we can be reasonably certain that we’ll hear more about this news in the near future.
The bigger question is if the city will try to make up for the revenue shortfall by writing more tickets in a shorter time period. If the city does choose to write more tickets to address the shortfall it is reasonable to assume that many of those extra tickets will be deemed defective if challenged in court.
NYC Parking Ticket has successfully challenged defective parking tickets since 1989. We’re part of the reason that New York City dismisses nearly one million defective parking tickets annually. If you believe that you have a ticket with an amenable defense we encourage you to fight your tickets to save money. We offer a low cost solution designed to save you time and money.
